Hi! I'm Mary,

I believe in the healing power of touch and our body’s innate ability to unwind, release and find balance. My approach to bodywork has evolved over 20 years of practice, study, experimentation, and of course, receiving lots of massage. My style is a flowing, intuitive blend of bodywork techniques including, Swedish, myofascial release, Thai Massage, hot stones, cupping, craniosacral and energy healing. I approach each client with curiosity and compassion and allow their story to shape my treatment session. It is this constant discovery that fuels my passion for the craft. You are invited to experience a unique style of nurturing therapeutic massage.
I graduated from Centerpoint school of massage in 2003. I'm licensed and nationally certified. Bodywork is my true calling, my deepest service, and my ultimate expression of “Metta,” also known as loving-kindness. My intention is to create a space where you can focus, connect and tap into the well-being inside yourself.

One important lesson I have learned in my practice is that people can be healed without being cured. This statement sounds counter-intuitive because these words are often used interchangeably in our society. In reality, the concepts of healing and curing could not be more different.

The word "cure" refers to the removal or absence of a particular symptom or set of symptoms. "Healing" on the other hand, is a return to a state of wholeness. Healing may include a positive change in physical symptoms, but more importantly, refers to a return to a state of balance and alignment that includes emotional, physical and spiritual health.

Through healing we are able to co-exist with and eventually move beyond the physical, emotional and spiritual traumas we all experience as a natural part of living in this world. Through healing we find the grace to not let these things define us or our experience.

Kind Words From Clients
I've been seeing Mary regularly for massage and craniosacral therapy, and she is truly one of a kind. Unlike most massage therapist, she doesn't just go through the motions, she listens deeply to what your body is communicating and responds with such precision and care that it feels almost magical. But it's not magic...it's her incredible ability to tune in, to hold space, and to use her
extensive knowledge of anatomy and energy to bring real healing.
I travel from Scandia to White Bear Lake just to see her, it is so worth it. If you're looking for a massage therapist or Craniosacral practitioner who goes far beyond the ordinary, I can't recommend Mary highly enough. She's a true gem.

I have had many massages in my 42 years, due to back/neck/shoulder pain, TMJ, and migraines. I didn't know much about craniosacral therapy until recently, and I always thought the more painful a massage, the more therapeutic.

Mary is well trained in many types of massage, but I was primarily looking for someone with the craniosacral experience for my migraines and jaw/neck muscles, that were holding YEARS of unresolved tension no massage has really touched before. I wish I would've met Mary a long time ago! This is better than a massage. She has healing hands. The whole atmosphere is so well thought out and calming.

Craniosacral is a light touch approach and seems a little weird at first (see above mentality about "the more painful, the better"). But it helped release tension I didn't even realize I had, like no massage had ever done before. I am a scientist with a hippie lean, so I obviously researched CST before coming. But you can't be too in your thoughts about it I imagine. I utilized the yogic breathing and meditation skills. I learned after dealing with chronic pain my whole life. Just breathe and let it happen. Give it a shot! It might be a game changer for you.

I work in IT with frequent 12 hour days. My back pain from working at the computer was becoming unbearable. My wife booked me a massage with Mary. I was quite surprised with the results. My chronic low back pain improved greatly with the first session. I am now a true believer in regular massage with Mary to manage my pain and stress.
